Fundraising
Welcome to our fundraising page where you can keep up to date with all our fundraising efforts throughout the year. At Willingdon we have an important set of Personal Excellence values; Ambition, Respect, Compassion, Courtesy and Honesty. To make sure that we all play a key role in our community, fundraising for our chosen charities is a really important part of our calendar and we try to get the whole school involved.
We also want to support our amazing school during this time where money in education is not always enough to give our peers all the experiences and facilities that they deserve. This is the THE best part of being a Community School!!

2024-2025 Fundraising Summary
Friday 27th September
We started the year off with our annual community Whole School Sponsored Walk. This is a proud tradition at Willingdon and is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year for the school. The House Captains helped by running refreshment stalls along the route. The whole event raised thousands of £££s for our school fund.
Friday 11th October 2024
We welcomed our newest students - our Year 7s with a big party! Over £1000 was raised for our school fund as our Year 7s danced the afternoon away to raise money for the school.
Friday 18th October 2024
£72.40 raised for our local chaity Children with Cancer from bake sales in Year 10. They'll also be coming to Phoenix Festival in the summer so be sure to drop by their stall and put some pennies in the buckets.
Monday 11th November 2024
We had assemblies all week and our student leaders went round with the collection bucket along with a donation bucket in reception we are happy to report that we sent off a very heavy donation to our Eastbourne Branch of the Royal British Legion.
Friday 15th November 2024
Over £740 raised for Children in Need from the non-uniform day and collections. Next year we are looking at how we can get the entire school involved in donating.
Monday 9th December 2024
Over £500 raised for St. Wilfrid's Hospice through Christmas jumper day and bake sales throughout the year.
Thursday 19th December
Even Santa came to help us raise money at the annual Christmas Fayre this year with over £250 added to the school fund and a beautiful Christmas Concert to finish the term off.
Friday 17th January 2025
Over 67kg of food was donated across terms 1 and 2 to deliver to our local foodbank to help support other families in our community.
