Parent Evenings are spread across the academic year. Every parent has the opportunity to attend the Tutor Intervention Evening (previously called Meet the Tutor). This takes place within the first term of the new academic year. It allows parents to discuss any issues their child may be facing as they transition to the new academic year and also for the tutor to share priorities and lead discussions on aspirations for the year ahead.
Furthermore in Key Stage 3 each year group (7,8 and 9) have a curriculum based Progress Parent Evening. The appointments are for subject staff only and not with tutors on this occasion. Year 9 will also receive an Options Evening and Key Stage 4 (Year 10 and 11) will have 2 Progress Parent Evenings throughout their academic year with curriculum teaching staff. In addition to this, we regularly track student’s progress and invite parents in for additional, bespoke progress meetings.
We are currently running all parents evening virtually by Zoom. We use the same system for booking Virtual Parent Evenings as we have done for in person Parent Evenings. Each parent and child is given a user identification for Edulink. Using the Edulink app or website https://www.edulinkone.com parents can select the Parent Evening and request times for appointments as detailed below. If a teacher is unavailable due to the number of allocated appointments and students that they teach, parents can request a separate appointment at an alternative date for feedback using the google survey form sent out for each parent evening.
How to book an appointment?
1. Log into EduLink (https://www.edulinkone.com/) and select Parents Evening icon.
