Leader of Learning Job Description

We invite applicants for a Teacher of Drama or Leader of Learning for a department that consistently achieves outstanding outcomes at GCSE.  This is a perfect opportunity to join the Creative Arts faculty of a high achieving school, which greatly values the creative subjects such as Drama within the curriculum.

Candidates should have excellent communication skills when working with young people and appropriate drive, expertise, and energy.  The successful applicant would be expected to teach drama to all age groups, including GCSE classes, for which the ability to facilitate imaginative devising work and deliver academic set texts with a thorough understanding of a range of practitioners is essential.

Lunchtime Supervisor Information

Lunchtime Supervisor Job Description

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and flexible staff to join our lunchtime team responsible for the supervision of our students around the school site.  The successful candidates will work during the lunchtime period as detailed in the job description and person specification.  We need individuals who are flexible, patient, able to work on their own initiative, can communicate well, but most of all enjoy working with young people. 

This Term Time only role, initially fixed for one year, is available throughout the working week, Monday to Friday, however we will also consider applications from persons wishing to work part of the week.

This is a salaried role.  This role may involve outside duties as well as within the school.  Training will be provided.

Progress & Support Assistant Information

Progress & Support Assistant Job Description

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated individual to play a key role in supporting our Directors of Student Progress (DoSP) and Assistant Head (Behaviour) for a nominated year group, in relation to student progress, welfare and behaviour.  To liaise with both students and parent/carers where appropriate. 

The successful candidate will need to have excellent people skills and be able to empathise and build rapport with young people whilst maintaining an authoritative approach.  The role also requires someone with administrative experience and familiarity with a range of computer applications

Exams Manager Job Description

Exams Manager Information

We are seeking to appoint an Exams Manager to take a lead role and maintain responsibility for the management, organisation and administration of all aspects of internal and external examinations in accordance with the regulations laid down by the awarding bodies. To ensure the highest level of organisational support for each student in external and internal examinations through the submission of accurate information for all examinations and to comply with the Examining Awarding Bodies’ regulations.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience of Exams within a school and recent experience in a supervisory role. With excellent communication, organisational and IT skills as well as a meticulous approach to administration tasks and ability to work to a high degree of accuracy.

Closing Date:  Monday 4th October 2021 (by noon)

Interviews will be held on Thursday 7th October 2021.
