Willingdon Community School are a nurturing and inclusive school and our team of Learning Support Professionals are key to supporting our students with achieving their potential
The post will involve a combination of targeted work in our inclusion room with students who are hard to reach and present with challenging behaviours and in-class support across the curriculum with students within SEN.
The students will need support with literacy and numeracy, interpreting tasks and managing their behaviour. The post will require some knowledge of working with students in an educational setting and it will be useful to have experience of behaviour management and/or counselling skills. The successful applicant will show initiative and demonstrate that they have the tenacity to ensure that the students’ progress.
The appointed person will be joining a dynamic team in the Inclusion department.

DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN
Single Status 4 (depending on experience) £24,404 - £24,790 per annum
Actual pro rata salary range is £14,610- £14,841 per annum
Permanent/ 25.00 hours per week/ 40 weeks per year
(Paid for 46.2 weeks to include holiday payment)
We are seeking to appoint a Design and Technology Technician. The appointed person will be enthusiastic, flexible, and have a pro-active approach to tasks in the DT and Art classrooms, they will be required to support teaching staff and provide in class support where needed.
The post will involve general preparation for practical lessons; applicants will be expected to work alongside Technology, and Art teachers as well as independently. The successful candidate will show initiative, with good communication and IT skills. The successful candidate will become part of a team that supports the growth and development of a highly achieving school. Some related Technician experience would be preferable.
Hours to be worked over 5 or 4 days.
