Employers & Employees
How can businesses engage?
Would you like to help us?
Employer involvement in a young person's education is an important aspect of the careers education they receive.
This contribution often involves employees volunteering to participate. Whether through classroom talks, course delivery, careers fairs, mentoring, or any other number of activities. Exposure to employers when done properly motivates, inspires and informs young people, and can equip them with the skills needed to succeed in the workplace.
If you are an employer or employee and would like to support young people in their careers journey at Willingdon Community School, please contact srooney@willingdonschool.org.uk. Thank you.
Mock Interview day - 30th June 2023
If you are a local employer, and would like to help us with these mock interviews, please contact Sarah Rooney on srooney@willingdonschool.org.uk or 01323 485254 ext 281.
Please see below a testimony from The Agency Collective, a local company, who made a commitment to offering more support to local schools.
Being part of Willingdon Community School's mock interview day was a real joy. It was brilliantly organised, the students were great and there were certainly a couple we would have been interested in hiring. I would recommend any local businesses get involved, it was a pleasure.
You can count on our help next time.
