Last year, amazing Year 7 students took part in a sponsored read to support the work of the charity Read for Good. This charity provides books and storytellers for children in hospital. Follow us later this year, to find out how Year 7 continue to help others with reading.
Through the sponsored read, students were able to develop strands 3, “social reading environments”, and 5, “reading communities that are reciprocal and interactive”. The sponsored read provided the opportunity to build a social reading community that demonstrated empathy with others through the charity Read for Good.
